Bourbon Pecans


  • 2 lbs pecan halves.
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of George Gibson Bourbon

Combine butter, bourbon and sugar into a sauce pan. Simmer at low heat for about 20 minutes. Add pecans and stir every few minutes for about 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using a slotted spoon remove pecans from sauce pan and place on parchment paper on a tray. Place the pecans in the oven for approximately 10 minutes. (You want the pecans to just begin to darken — pecans are easy to burn so watch them).

Once removed from the oven add a little salt to them before they cool if you want them salted. (I prefer mine just slightly salted.)

Let them cool and enjoy
